The Student Health & Wellness Center is NOT an Emergency Room.  By calling 911, first responders will provide you with the most prompt response to an emergency, whether on or off campus.

  • Nurse Call Line is Changing for Fall 2014

    The after hours nurse call line number is now 800-556-1555.

    "The after hours nurse call number is a service provided to all students by the carrier of the University endorsed student insurance policy," Dana Sachs, Director of Administration for the Student Health and Wellness Center, explained. "Since the carrier for the student insurance carrier is changing to Aetna Student Health, the nurse call number has to change as well."

  • Aetna Student Health Insurance – Your New Student Insurance Plan

    The University of North Texas system is working with Aetna Student Health to offer a student-focused health insurance plan that helps protect students at school, at home, and while traveling or studying abroad.

    All international students are automatically enrolled in the UNT Student Health Insurance Plan.  Graduate students or undergraduates may enroll on a voluntary basis. The covered students spouse and dependent children under 26 may enroll on a voluntary basis.

  • Students and the Affordable Care Act

    The deadline to enroll and qualify for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is approaching fast on March 31.  Visit our Billing and Insurance page for more information about the University endorsed student insurance policy and a document explaining your options under the ACA.

  • No-Show Fee

    Effective February 1, 2014 the Student Health and Wellness Center will charge a no-show fee for missed appointments.

    Cancel or reschedule your appointment with an hour of your appointment time to avoid being charged $10.

    To cancel your appointment by phone, students should call (940) 565-2793. To reschedule your appointment, please call (940) 565-2333 and speak to an appointment scheduler or go online to myOSH.unt.edu.
