Pharmacy
(940) 565-2790The UNT Pharmacy is a fully licensed pharmacy. However, the UNT Pharmacy is specialized in the sense that we reserve our services for the UNT student community only. Since we are a part of the University of North Texas, we are a non-profit, state owned establishment.
We will not disclose Protected Health Information about our patients without prior written consent from the patient on a per request basis. For patients under 18, parents may request most medical information (call for details).
Prescription Refills
You may refill your prescription online, you may request it in person, or call you may phone for a refill request.
Please be aware when requesting a prescription refill that it may take up to 48 hours to fill that request if you have no refills left.
Service
Being part of the Higher Educational System in the State of Texas, we feel very strongly that patient education on prescription drug use is an important aspect of our duty. Besides offering prescription items at the most reasonable prices, we are here to instruct and to answer questions on drug use as well. To receive service, please bring with you to the Health Center (1) your UNT ID card and (2) your Insurance Card (if applicable).
Prescription Orders
Please check out our service when you have prescription needs, be it by your own private physician/clinician or our staff physician/clinician at the UNT Student Health & Wellness Center. All prescriptions and refills must be picked up within 7 working days or they will be discarded. The pharmacy will not call you. It is your responsibility to see that your prescriptions are picked up in a timely manner.
Prescription Insurance
Many of you may have insurance coverage on prescription drugs. The pharmacy accepts the University endorsed student insurance policy, Medco, PCS, and SOME Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Texas, and a few Caremark prescription drug cards. Be sure to show your insurance card when service is rendered.
